OFFICERS APPOINTED

VARIOUS ARRANGEMENTS MADE,

A meeting of the general committee of the Horowhenua A. and P. Association whs held on Saturday lasß There wiere present: .Messrs G. H. Kingdon (president), R. W. Evans, R. V Brown, H. J. Lancaster, R. L. Horn, C. E. Waller, H. S. George, W. H. Weggery, F. R. Wright, F. H. Gorringe, Ronald Macdonald, A. Horrabin, F. Davies, A. McLeavey, and J. W. Procter. Apologies were received from Messrs J. McLeavey, GTully and C. H. Wildsmith. The resignations from membership of Messrs G. Snowman and T. H. Colpman were received, and accepted with regret. The offer of Mr E. J. Nash to conduct the publican’s booth at the coming show was accepted, and the matter of arranging with Mr A. L. Williams for catering was left with Messrs A. McLeavey and R. L. Horn. The following appointments wore made in connection with the various sections of the catalogue for' show (lays: — ' _ - Ring; Marshal. —Mr G. Tully. Chief Stewards.—Ring competitions and horses Mr C. E. Waller; cattle, Mr C. T Wildsmith; sheep, Mr F. Davies; ’pigs, Mr Ronald McDonald; gates, Messrs W. M. Beckett and J. McLeavey; trucking, Mr R. V. Brown. The sheep for guessing competition were donated by Mrs N. Kirkcaldie, Messrs F. H. Gorringe and F. Davies; and the single sheep by Mr W. H. Weggery. . Messrs Procter, George, Evans, ana R. V. Brown wer© appointed a committee to arrange for the ground to be put in order for the show.
