ANGRY LOVER.
SHOOTS TWO COWS. SYDNEY, Oct 22. The story.of a rejected suitor who relieved his Heelings by shooting two cows, one of which belonged.to his lady-love, was related at title Quarter Sessions. At-the Darlinghurst. Sessions to-day Frederick Harold Lewis, aged 33, a miner, "of Hartley Vale, pleaded guilty to a charge of having maliciously killed two cows-one the property of Lily Gullett, and the other the property of Matthew Burke. Judge. Cohen remanded the man for sentence. Lewis was committed from the KatoQinba Court!, (where evidence had been given that when he was questioned with regard to two cows which had been fatallly shot at Hartley Vale he made a statement in which he admitted his guilt, Lewis declared that he was in love with Lily Gullett, and that lie bore no ■malice towards her. On September 15, the day .of the shooting, he had been drinking) wine, and he shot the cows in the heat of passion, because some friends of his had given him. a turn about a man named Burley cutting him. out in the affections of the. girl.
