MR J. D. BROWN’S SALE,
Tlie clearing sale of Mr J. D. Brown’s pedigree jersey stuck, was conducted by Messrs Abraham and Vviliiains at me Kuku on May 2. There was a large a tendance of buyers from all pails of the (.patriot, and keen competition, especially for the younger lots. Ten cows averaged 51 guineas, the highest price being obtained lor the 4-year-old Trethella’s Bet, bought by Mr it. L. Horn, ol Ohau, for lOOgns. Two heifers in call brought 52gns and aOgns respectively, whilst seven heifer calves by llioter’s Knight averaged the very satisfactory figure of 35£gn&. The well-ko.wn Champion Bull Rioter’s Knight, was bought by Mr J. H. Nicholson for lOOgns.
