Senator Borali, in a stirring speech asking amnesty for political prisoners, declared that the United States was the only country m the Avorld still holding incarcerated men Avhose only ofUence was to §peak )£ Avrite against the United States’ participation in the war. He* pointed out that the Espionage Act had been long repealed, but 5 men were still in Federal prisons for violating it, nt>t by acts of A’ioleuce, but expressions of dissension. The speaker also attacked the law Avhicli at any time prevented the freedom of speech ir criticism of the Government. •
