SHANNON BEATS WERAROA

The second match between the f Shannon and Weraroa teams was played at Levin on Saturday, and re- | suited in a win for the visitors by 10 J 'runs on' the first innings. Batting first, Shannon were all out for the small score of 52, Parsons (17 not out) J being the only batsman to reach double figures against the bowling of McGill, Pringle and O'Connor. Weraroa shaped worse than their opponents with the bat, and with the exception of O'Connor (22) / failed to make a stand aginst Grainger-and Randall, who were in charge of the bowling. The visitors had a. second innings, and knocked up 134, to which ' Stewart contributed'the good score of 70, made by safe cricket. Randall, Main and Harris also got4nto double figures.
