WEDDING.
S W IN D LEIIU RST —ARMES. A very pretty wedding look place at the Methodist " Church, Shannon, on Wednesday lust, when Miss Annie Amies, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Armes, of Auckland, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony with'Mr J. A. Swindleluirst, eldest son of Mr J Swindlehurst, of Buckley. A large number of relations and friends were present at the church, which was very prettily decorated for the occasion. The Rev. Minifi© was the officiating clergyman. The Wedding March was played by Mrs Tatton, Auckland. The bride, who was given away by her father, was dainUly attired in white satin with georgette overdress, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and was attended by Miss Elector Swindlehurst as bridesmaid, who wore a lemon crepe de chine dress with pretty (hat. to match. Mr W. Swindlehurst, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. After t v e
ceremony the wedding breakfast was partaken of at the residence of the bridegroom’s parents, when over f.O guests were present, the usual toasts being honoured. The happy couple were the recipients of many useful presents. In the evening a most pleasant time was spent in music and dancing.
