MANGAHAO HYDRO NOTES.

f (From Our Own Correspondent.) A large crowd of both ladies and gentlemen filled the Y.M.C.A. recreation hut on Sunday afternoon, and appreciatively listened to an address on Prohibition by Messrs. E. J. Price and Nimnio. Both speakers were accorded a splendid lieaiing, and a vote of thanks was given the visitors at the close. A political meeting was addressed by Mr Ftyger in the evening, but the audience was sparse. Several questions were asked at the close of his talk. On Monday evening the Reform candidate is announced to address the electors 'here. Keen interest is being evinced in the election here, almost very resident being an elector.
