• A meeting of the Ihakara branch of the Farmers’ Union was held last ■evening at which there was an attendance of some 20 members. Mr S. A. Broadbelt presided. Mr T. Buxton, N.Z. organiser of the Union, was present and gave an interesting address ■on the necessity of the farmers organising thoroughly for their mutual benefit. He touched on several mailers that- concerned the farmers an cl asked their support in strengthening the organisation of the Union. Mr Buxton was accorded a unanimous vote of thanks for (his address.
