THE MAORILAND PICTURES.

“THE BROADWAY BUBBLE” ON

WEDNESDAY

Thrillng situations abound in “The Broadway Bubble,” which gives Corinne Griffith the best opportunities she yet has had to display her remarkable dramatic ability and versatility. The radiant young star plays a dual role, as twin sisters, who appear together in many scenes. So alike are the sisters in appearance, though different in character or temperament, that one of the sisters is able to impersonate the other with servants, friends and even the husband, while her twin seeks a career on the

stage. Extraordinary complications occur, in spite of the fact that the married sister was estranged from t lie husband in whose home she lived. He finds formerly unknown qualities in his “wile,” and falls in love with her again, seeking a reconciliation, much to the embarrassment of the masquerading twin. Somei truly wonderful double exposures showing the sisters together lend additional charm to the picture. “MADONNAS AND MEN” ON FRIDAY.

A picture dealing with one oi' the most potent moral questions ol the day, “Madonnas and Men,” is to ha presented at the loqal theatre on Friday. It is the elaborate and massive production that likens the amusements, desires and hist of ancient Rome to those l of modern times, and has scored one of the greatest hits in the history of motion pictures. As wonderful scene after scene is unreeled the spectator soon realises Ihat he is seeing the one great feature picture, a photo-dramai that will live forever, because of its remarkable story, its wonderful production • and its praiseworthy acting.
