THE SOLDIERS’ MEMORIAL.

FURTHER FUNDS TO BE RAISED

A meeting of the Soldiers’ Memorial Committee was held on Wednesday evening. Present: The Mayor, Mi's Evans, Mrs Spencer and Miss Cameron.

The total sum at present in hand amounted to about £9O, and as at least £3OO would be required, it wai decided that further .efforts be maae to add to the sum in hand. The Mayor said he would arrange another concert, and Mrs Evans and Miss Cameron offered to take a list up to the Pulic Works camp, and perhaps hold some dances during the winter.
