POWER BOARD SECRETARY.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT. The terms of the appointment of the County Clerk, Mr P. W. Goldsmith, as temporary secretary to the Horowhenua I-Iydro-Electric Power Board were confirmed at a meeting of the County Council on Saturday. It was then decided that the Power Board pay the county at. the rate oi £250 a year for Mr Goldsmith’s services, the appointment to be subject to revision in six months.
Mr Goldsmith was granted power to appoint a junior clerk immediately.
