WEDDING.
SMALL—NEWMAN. On Wednesday last a pretty wedding took place at the Shannon Anglican Church,' the contracting parties being Mr Frederick Small, eldest son of Mr and Mrs F. Small, of Vogel Street, Shannon, and Miss Ruth-New-man, eldest daughter of the late Mr Newman, of KopuTa'foa,' The Rev. Abbott performed the ceremony. The bride was becomingly attired in a beautiful crepe- de dune dress with veil and orange blossoms, and was accompanied by Miss' Thelma Newman and Miss- Nellie Burt as bridesmaids, all carrying beautiful floral bouquets. Mr Maurice Small acted as best man. A large party of friends assemfilled at the church and afterwards at the residence of the bridegroom’s parents, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken of. The, usual toasls were honoured and replied to by the parents and grandparents of the happy conple. Mr and Mrs Small left afterwards for Napier amid showers of rice and good wishes. The young couple were the recipients )of many handsome and valuable presents.
