Shannon Club journeyed to Palmerston last Saturday and played Terrace End Club in the third round o'f the Banner Competition. Results are— Shannon: Murray, B. Spencer, Carr, Murphy (skip) 18 v. Terrace End 24. Shannon: Watterston, . H. Butt, Quarrie, Gagliardi (skip) 20 v. Terrace End 19. On Wednesday last Shannon challenged Foxton,) the holders, for the Manson and parr Cup, and after a very close finish, were defeated by 5 points. Scores*— Shannon: Murray, Gagliardi, Murphy.
