Complainant eventually took refuge in Mr Hook’s shop. He was later attended by Dr. Evans, who put two stitches in the wound, on the eyebrow. Accused pleaded - guilty and was fined £5, in default one month’s imprisonment. Five days were allowed in Svhich to pay the money. The Justices remarked that assaults of this nature must be severely dealt with.
