THE AGGRESSOR FINED. ■ Timothy Of Regally was charged on iuumnt.y iasi at Uie Shannon Do lice uuuti, ncu/ic Mess Vs. fcpencer and i a-yiur, J.lVs, with having ussauuea liugh McGloni by striking him in me mce with his fist. The occurrence was alleged to have taken place yi i-mnnuer Terrace on the 3rd inst. According to the evidence, McGloin was standing talking to Mr T. Daizeii when accused came up to him arid without aiiy warning struck him a violent blow on the lace, cutting his cheek and eyebrow. Accused followed McGloin and struck him another blow oil the mouth. Complainant eventually took refuge in Mr Hook’s shop. He was later attended by Dr. Evans, who put two stitches in the wound, on the eyebrow. Accused pleaded - guilty and was fined £5, in default one month’s imprisonment. Five days were allowed in Svhich to pay the money. The Justices remarked that assaults of this nature must be severely dealt with.
