SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING.
the regular monthly meeting of the Shannon School Committee was held last Monday, and/was attended by Messrs. Downes, Quarrie, Birchall, Watt-erston, Anderson, Warrington, Gustofson and Carlyle, also Mr Voysey (head teacher), Mr Quarrie presiding.. CORRESPONDENCE. From the Wellington Education Board, acknowledging application for a new tank for the school and stating that a new one will be delivered as soon as the Clerk of Works can make arrangements.—Received. , GENERAL. An account for £1 was passed for payment. As .satisfactory arrangements had been made in connection with the repairs to the horse paddock fence, it was decided to go on with the work as soon as labour and material are procured. Mr T. A. Wood’s application for grass in the % school-grounds was granted.
