Y.M.C.A. DEFEAT SHANNON.

Y.M.C.A. journeyed to Shannon on Saturday, and in a closely-contested game defeated the home ude by 13 runs. The visitors batted first, R. Martin and F. Fletcher being the first pair of batsmen. The score showed 13 runs on when the first ticket fell, falling at 20 and Tie third at 28. Auekram' (15) and McKenzie (12) were the next to make a stand, and further on on Thompson carried his bat for a dozen, the innings closing for 87. With five batsmen out lor 22, Shannon’s chances did not look bright, but Merwood contributed a useful 22, when he was caught, and Morgan had compiled 16 when he,fell a victim to Griffiths.
