WERAROA WINS'FROM MOUTOA. The Weraroa and Moutoa teams played their Cup fixture in Levin on Saturday. Showers fell in the morning, and the ground was in a heavy condition. Moutoa sent Weraroa in first, O’Connor and Hall opening to the bowling of Newth and Griffin, the latter giving w r ay to Reeves after the first over. O’Connor lost his companion when only three runs were scored, but with Pringle carried the total to 43, when Reeves found his wicket. Pringle and Claridge added a few when the former was caught. Newth, who was bowling well, secured the next three pickets in one ■ verf narrowly missing the hat trick. Sloan and Claridge made a useful .-.land, and assisted largely in carrying the total to 99, at which the innfngs Clark was the only Moutoa batsmen to reach double figures, the side being out" for 43, Weraroa thus winning by 56' runs.
