Fat sheep, winch ha,u -been selling fairly well of fate, a dull patch, and the inquiry was anything but keen, a consiuerabie portion of a moderate entry being passed. The few store lines forward did not meet any better market, although hoggets were the bqst selling classes.' Porker pigs lor once did not meet their usual competition, and several pens of this class were passed. .•Stores and weaners, however, were in cetter demand, and sold up* to last week’s rates, practically everything ottered being disposed of. The cattle entry was small in all classes, and again the business transacted was on a low scale of prices. Pigs.—Weaners Bs, 9s, 1.55; stores 16s, 18s, 22s 6d, 255, 29s 35s to £2 2s; porkers £2 4s, £2'Bs and £2 10s; baconers £4 17s 6d and £5 ss.
Sheep.—Fat wethers and ewes 11s 6d and, 12s 6d; fat-ewes 10s 6d, 10s 9d to 11s 9d; prime hoggets 25s 6d; forward hoggets 11s 6d and 12s 6d; store hoggets 5s 6d to 9s 3d. Cattle.—Fat cows £5 10s to £5 15s; forward cow r s 355; store cows 255; yearling Jersey heifers £5 2s 6d; twoyear heifers £4 to £5; springing heifers £10; cow with calf £9; dairy cows £5, £7 10s, £B, £lO and £l2.
