CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
The Chamber of Commerce met yesterday. Present Messrs J. H. Sutter (president), Butherford, Ohisholm and Gibson meat bkpbxgebatin o . The report on the refrigerating works at Melbourne, by Messrs Moss Jonas and Robert Stewart, was read, but, owing to the absence of Mr Jonas through illness, the consideration of the document was deferred. The desirableness of taking steps in the direction of establishing a factory here was discussed, but the matter was deferred pending the attendance of Messrs Jonas and Stewart, who were prepared to supplement their report with personal explanations. E.M. COUET. The unsatisfactory state of the B.M. Court business was referred to, and it will be discussed at next meeting. The meeting then adjourned to Monday next.
