The Irish Constabulary are awaiting the result of their petition. [“ Argus ” Special.] The Turkish difficulty appears abating. The Turkish troops rendezvous at Rhodes awaiting the completion of a convention with the British which the conference of Powers will endorse. England and France still hesitate to accept Italy’s proposals about the canal. The Lascars at Bombay have resumed working. Eight spies have been caught in Alexandria. Complaints are made in the English newspapers as to the French disregard of British protests against French interference at Rinatea.
