SOUTH CANTERBURY COURSING CLUB. SECOND DAY. Yesterday’s meeting at Mr Studholme’s paddock, Waimate, was poorly attended and very few hares were to be found, The following are the results. Puppy Stakes—First Course. Bonnie Flaneur beat Border Lass Fairy ran a bye. Final Course. Bonnie Flaneur (imported dog) beat Fairy, and won the stakes, Fairy taking second money. Bonnie Flaneur, the- winner of the Stakes, is an imported greyhound, and is from.stock of the best racing kennels at Home and in Melbourne. At every trial he has shown great staying- power and speed, besides working his game very cleverly. 'His owner,-Mr D. M. Eoss, procured him from a pick in Melbourne and has evidently made a choice selection. Menders’ Plate—Fourth Course. Lady Mary beat Star of the South Duchess of Connaught ran a bye. Final Course.''
Duchess of Connaught, w: and rd slut, by Balmoral out of La Bell, beat Lady Mary, fawn slut by Richmond out of Dion, and won, Lady Mary taking second money.
