The Detached SquadronMelbourne, July 9 The vessels comprising the detached

squadron, except the Bacchante, sailed yesterday for Sydney. After a short stay there they will proceed to Auckland. The Royal Princes are now sailing in the Inconstant, The Smallpox Outbreak Sydney, July 9. A fresh case of smallpox was reported this morning, making the third within the past twenty-four hours. The disease*has again appeared in the heart of the city, in Sussex street, the sufferer being a girl eleven years of age. July 10. ©Another case of smallpox in the city has been reported to the authorities to-day. Schooner Ashore. The schooner Sophia from the South Sea Islands, went ashore at the Heads this morning. All hands were saved.
