[Reuter’s Aqknct.j The Irish Land BillLondon, July 8, In the House of Commons to-day the consideration of the Irish Land Bill in Committee was proceeded with, and further progress was inade with the measure. Clause 11 was, after discussion, postponed, but clauses 14 to 24 were finally passed without amendment. LSDParis, July 8. The International Monetary Conference which opened its sittings here on April 19, and has sat on various occasions since that date, is now broken up without any definite decision having been arrived at. The Conference will, however, meet again in April next year, and in the meantime the various Governments will be requested to open diplomatic correspondence on the question for consideration of which the Conference assembled. Monetary Belief for ItalyRome, July 8. It is announced that the English financial houses of Baring Bros, and J, Hambro and Co have contracted with the Italian Government for a new loan, the amount of which has not transpired. It will be issued next week, and upon conditions which will obviate the present monetary stringency now felt in Italy. President GarfieldWashington, July 9, This morning’s bulletin reports that the President continues to make satisfactory progress, and is hourly gaining strength. His medical attendants are sanguine of his complete recovery. The TransvaalCape Town, July 7. Intelligence is to hand from Pretoria that the Royal Commission, who were empowered to settle the frontier and other questions in connection with the Transvaal, is making good progress and every hope is - entertained that a successful issue will result from its labors.
