Princes Albert "Victor and George of Wales are now journeying overland from Adelaide. They will reach Hamilton to-night, and will take a short rest there before coming oh to Melbourne. The debate, on the no: confidence motion was carried on to a late hour last night, and was finally adjourned to to-day’s sitting. It is generally considered that the result on the motion is uncertain, but the Opposition members express themselves as being confident of success.
Per Merchant Shipping and Underwriters’Association, London, June 23rd —Arrived—Waitara, ship, from the Bluff, left March 11th.
A meeting of the National Mutual Life Association of Australasia was held here last night to receive the report of the Directors upon the investigation recently made into the financial position of the Association. The report was unanimously adopted, and the sum of £20,000 set apart to be divided as bonuses among members.

The Union Company’s steamship Eotomahana sailed yesterday afternoon for New Zealand via Newcastle, The captain declined to take pas. sengers or cargo from this port. No fresh cases of smallpox have been reported to the authorities.

Mr J. C. Bray, who was yesterday entrusted by the Governor with the formation of a New Ministry, has submitted the names of the following gentlemen to His Excellency for the various portfolios in the new Cabinet: —Premier and Chief Secretary, Mr Bray; Treasurer, Mr L. Glyde; Attorney-General, Mr J. 0. Downer: Commissioner of Crown Lands, Mr J. Carr: Minister of Public Works, Mr J. G. Eamsay; Minister of Education, Mr J. L. Parsons.
