The intercolonial Yachting Eegatta, held yesterday in Port Philip Bay, passed off successfully. There was a large attendance on the flag-ship, and the weather was fine, with a good breeze. The Grand Challenge race was over a forty-five mile course. There were six entries. The following was the result: —Hon W. J. Clarke’s Victorian Yacht, Janet, 1 ; Sydney Aacht, Secret, 2; Auckland Yacht, Taniwha, 3. The Janet which was the favorite, came in some minutes ahead of the Tani wha, followed by the Secret, which took second place on her time allowance.
