FARMERS’ CO-OPERATIVE ASSOCIATION.
SECOND EDITION
Meetings of farmers and others interested in the “ co-operative ” movement were held at Makikihi, on Friday, and at Waimatc, on Saturday evening. At both places Mr Win. Bateman lectured to numerous and attentive audiences. At tiie former place Mr Mclllwraith presided, and at the conclusion of the lecture a hearty vote of. thanks was carried. At Waimate, Mr John Bradshaw presided, and explained at some length the objects of the promoters. We regret that pressure on our space has crowded out our report of the meetings and lectures from this issue. To-morrow night the final lecture of the series will be deliveited at Mr Green’s large storeroom.
