The above leaves £1G,500 divided amongst smaller winners. The principal money lias been this season far more equally divided than usual, there being nearly double the ordinary number of winners of over £SOO. WINNING SHIES. The principal winning; sire has, as usual, been Traducer, twenty of whoso stock won £BISOO. With bis numerous other winners that arc scattered over the country, but whose breeding is not given in the reports of the races, there is no doubt that bis stock have this season again won over £IO,OOO. Next to him comes the North Island sire Day Dawn, who has £1051) to his credit by live winners; but this horse’s stock is very numerous in the Wellington district, and they probably won altogether £3OOO. Dead Shot is represented by Mata and Pinfire, who between them won £1307.
