[Pun “Times” Special Wire.] A Second Fire. Invercargill, March 22.—Another destructive tire occurred at Guthrie and Larnach’s mill which was burned down on March 11. The sawdust heap had been smouldering ever since, and it burst out yesterday and destroyed about 00,000 feet of sawn timber. The debris is still burning. Epidemics. Diphtheria is still prevalent but is not spreading. Two cases are in the hospital.
Larrikins Punished. Christchurch, March 22. Two larrikins, charged with assaulling Constable McDonough, in a lane, at midnight, on Saturday, "were each fined sixtj'-six shillings, or in default a week’s imprisonment. A third was fined 60s ora week, and a fourth, twenty f hillings, or ninety-six hours. No cases of any importance were heard this morning in the District CourtHeavy Floods at Blenheim. Blenheim, March 22. —Heavy rain has fallen during the last throe days, overflowing the rivers and flooding the greater part of the town to the depth of several feet. No church services wore held yesterday except at the Roman Catholic church, and to-day business is almost entirely suspended.
