A special meeting of fhe above Board for tiro purpose of receiving tenders for several road works was held this morning. Present —Messrs Beswick (Chairman), Moody, and Shaw. The following tenders were received :—■ Ho I- —Aletalling road from Eraser’s Corner to Island Hut, about two miles.

Flynn 9s Od F. Cartwright 11s Od J. Tnompson ... ... ... 9s Gd An application from Air J. L. Wilson offering £3 per week for the use of the Board’s traction engine, was declined, the Board being about to use it. It was resolved to call for tenders for widening the Totara Valley drain. The Board then adjourned.
