MAGISTERIAL.
TIMAKU—THIS DAY. (Before His Worship the Mayor and E. G. Sterricker, Esq. J.P.) DRUNKENNESS. A first offender was discharged with a caution. diaries Fogle, was charged with being drunk and disorderly, and with resisting a constable in the execution of his duty. The accused pleaded hard to be let off, as he had work to go to. There being several previous convictions against him, lie was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment with hard labour. LUNACY. A. woman, arrested this morning on suspicion of being of unsound mind, was committed to Sunny side Lunatic Asylum. The court then adjourned.
