Thanks

• On Tuesday 4 March we attended a 'meet the teachers night' at the Ohakune Primary School. This was an ideal opportunity to learn how the teachers report to parents on their children' s learning and progress. It was an insight into the planning of term's work in advance to include the New Zealand Standards of the eurriculum. A huge amount of planning is required for this to be successful. Assessments of children are being made continuously through this reporting programme and a parent/caregiver may ask to see these at any time. Through these introductions and discussions those present should have been able to appreciate the enormous amount of time, preparation and the very careful planning our teachers need to do and carry out to ensure our children receive the best possible education in their learning environment. Thank you agai n to the teachers for the evening — it was very reassuring and appreciated.

Karen and

Bruce Cranston.
