Dogs
•Through your paper, I askcouncil, when is something going to be done about unattended dogs? One only has to drive or walk almost any street in Raetihi and there are dogs loose any day or night. They even block shop doorways. I recently helped a lady (who was pushing a child in a pram, and with an older child walking with her) to get past three dogs which rushed out to "greet" her on the street. One of the same dogs actually grabbed a sheep in the mob that I was driving to the saleyards about six months ago. None of the three dogs had collars or tags so I guess they were unregistered. Where then is the Dog Ranger? I was attacked by a dog last winter in Ameku Road. Luckily the dog came off worst. After Wednesday night' s sheep worrying episode there must be a tightening of dog laws. Come on Council.
