'Rural Romp' on the A&P agenda

A fun 'top team' type competition will be a feature of this month's Waimarino Agricultural and Pastoral Show, to be held Saturday 15 February. Teams of four people will race against the clock through a 'rural romp' course which includes crawling under nets; building a sheep pen of hay bales then putting four sheep into the pen; climbing over and under gates; carrying team

members; nail driving; filling a trailer with hay bales then pulling it along a course; getting the whole team along a course in a wool pack. The competition, being organised by Sport Ruapehu coordinator Kath Campbell, is to start at 1.30pm on the day. Teams must have at least one male and one female, and there is a $ 1 0 entry with prizes including a $ 1 00 first prize.
