Waimarino Pighunting Club - Labour Weekend Hunt, sponsored by the Ruapehu Hotel, results: Heaviest Boar: 1st ,138.51b, Shon Miles and Jumbo; 2nd, 1 12, Jeff Fahey; 3rd, 1041b, Shon Miles and Jumbo; 4th, 1001b, Tom Smith and Pete Eagles. Tusks: Douglas Score, Shon Miles and Jumbo. Average Boar: lst, 2nd and 3rd, Tom Smith and Pete Eagles. Eight Boars weighed in and 23 teams entered the competition. Children'ssection.Eel: lst Jamie Christensen; 2nd Tevin Toho; 3rd KerryannePreater. Rabbit: lst Kerryanne Preater; 2nd Nick McNie; 3rd Debra Preater. Possum; lst equal Shaun Hall, Pipiriki Kids, Barry Richards. The weekend 's hunt was for the senior citizens. All meat caught will be cut up and distributed to as many pensioners as possible.
