Bulletin a finalist
The Ruapehu Bulletin was a finalist in the 1995 Best All-round newspaper competitions, run by the Community Newspapers Association. The Bulletin was one of six finalists in its category (papers with a circulation between 1300 and 6950). The judges said the finalists were "six pretty good papers". Winner in the category was the Kaikoura Star.
