Bank trust gives cash
The Trust Bank Wanganui Community Trust Incorporated has recently approved donations to 233 organisations in the region. "Trustees were impressed by the quality of the applications and admire the good work done by so many worthwhile organisations in our community," said Judith Timpany, chairperson of the Trust. Total donations approved since theTrust was set up in 1988 now exceed $ 1 million. Those funds have all been distributed in the region co vering W aimarino, W anganui, Rangitikei and South Taranaki. from the trust include: Waimarino Y outh & Fitness Trust $1000, Waimarino Indoor Soccer Association $ 140, Turoa Alpine Ski Club Inc $500, Waimarino Pony Club $900, Ohakune Junior Badminton Club $500, Raetihi Playcentre $250, Waimarino Budget Service $500, The Ohakune Squash Rackets Club Inc $300, Orautoha School $400, Ruapehu College $1 50, Ohakune Kea Club $600, Waimarino Plunket $500, Kenningston Kindergarten $500, Ohakune Senior Citizens Inc $600, Taihape Waiouru Victim Support Group Inc $200, Friends of the Whanganui Ri ver $500, Pipiriki School $2250.
