Night Patrol meeting
A public meeting to be attended by members of the Raetihi Night Patrol and Police is scheduled for Monday 1 August, at the Waimarino Club in Seddon Street, Raetihi. Start time is set for 8pm. The aim of the meeting is to establish better relations with the community, Police and night patrol members. Wanganui district commander, Superintendent A Waugh, Inspector J Holloway, Sergeant Bob Evans and Constable Steve Hart have indicated their interest in at-
tending the meeting on behalf of the police. The community's support is sought to make Raetihi 's night patrol viable and able to work to the benefit of the entire community. A training session for those members of the night patrol has been tentatively set for Sunday 7 August, with both venue and time yet to be confirmed. Anyone interested in attending can contact the Raetihi Information Centre for further information. Phone 385 4805.
