Refuse bags supply for National Park

The Ruapehu District Council are catering for National Park residents this year by providing them with a supply of rubbish bags. Previously residents had to supply their own. Plastic bags will replacethe multiwall paper type and will be supplied in lots of 52. Those residents who prefer to use paper refuse bags may exchange their plastic ones but must be prepared to pay for the difference.

Ohakune and Raetihi residents can collect their 1 994 supply from their respective Council service centre after 1 July. Residents in other areas will be advised where they can collect their refuse bags. In Ohura and National Park it is expected that a distribution agent will be appointed for householders to collect their bags from. Taumarunui residents will have theirs delivered during the first week of July.
