Waiouru rugby

Waiouru is hosting a 10-a-side rugby toumament this weekend. Entries close on Wednesday 9 March. Those wishing to register a team can ring Ross James on 06-387-6393. First prize is $500, the second finalists will receive $200 and the plate and bowl winners will each receive $100. Teams from Ponsonby, Ohakune and Taihape have already entered. Army corps and unit teams will also be playing. Pool games are on all day Saturday and Sunday morning. The quarter finals and finals will follow after that. Spot prizes will be awarded to selected players and a social function will be held in the club rooms on Saturday night.
