Raetihi school news
by jennifer grifnths and Emma Forster This week on Thursday 1 0 March at 4pm the Raetihi Primary School will be having their gala with rides, raffles, cake and sweet stalls, haangi, sausage sizzles and lots more. The new adventure playground has been very popular for all ages. This week we are also starting a new behaviour incentive programme in which the children are rewarded for good behaviour with special treats. Mr Grant Fountain, the new principal of Raetihi School is very pleased with the children' s behaviour. . Rooms 13, 12, 11 and 15 have just started a project on farms and they will be visiting a farm. Room 15
has already been to the Anderson's farm and looked at calves, tried shearing and gone to the top of a very high hill from which they could see Raetihi, Ohakune and Waipuna.
Rooms 6, 7 and 8 have just finished a study on bees by getting Mr Penny to come in and show them how to extract honey from the comb. They also kept live bees in their class.
