Ohakune senior citizens

This month's senior citizens' meeting was a mystery bus trip which really lived up to its name when the bus failed to turn up! However, things soon righted, and firstly the group took a tour of Turoa Village then out to Rangataua to see Connie's vast collection of salt and pepper sets. Then it was back to Ray Wilson' s carrot shed to watch the procedures of 'From Garden to Market' Then it was past Ken George' s garden and bowling green to Ian Harrison's garden where the host showed us around. All were more than a bit envious. Dinner-time soon arrived so it was off up the mountain to the Girl Guide hut for lunch. Owing to a very heavy shower of rain while there they were unable to do any of the planned bush walks so it was then back to the Lions Den to plan some future outings.
