Raetihi bowling

Visitors from Manunui, Owhango, Ohakune and Taihape came to a tournament held at the Raetihi Bowling Club, Sunday last week. The weather was perfect for the tournament and the rain on the previous Friday night had not damaged the green. The winning team was Pauline LeNoel (skip), Betty Brown (3), Bob McGinness (2) and Jocelyn Craig (lead). Runners-up wereLaurieBirchall (skip), Bobby Brown (3), Martin Love (2) and Leslie Todd " (lead). "A very good day was had by the bowlers who attended the tournament and I would like to thank everyone for coming and making the day for the Raetihi Club," said Laurie Birchall, the skip of the runners-up team.
