UV water plant for Raetihi mooted

Raetihi should have a water treatment plant similar to Ohakune' s, believes mayor Garrick Workman. Mr Workman said at last week's Waimarino Community Board meeting that an ultra- violet treatment and depth filtration plant like Ohakune' s should be built for Raetihi. He made the comment during discussion of the Ohakune plant and the Raetihi Reservoir, which was drained on 20 January. Townsfolk had to boil their water following the incident.
