Waiouru market day for Valentines

Waiouru community centre is to be the venue of an early "Valentines Day" market on Saturday 12 February. Organisers are raising money for Waiouru Plunket and the Waiouru drop in and information centre. Stalls are still available and stall applications can be made at Turners Bookshop, Waiouru. « Anyone interested in selling their wares or displaying their talents should ring Julie Batt in the evenings on Waiouru (06) 387 6246 for more information. Last year a market day was planned to coincide with the around the mountain relay race (ATMR). Unfortunately there were too few applications for stalls, and the market day had to be cancelled. Organisers hope people will not be committed to other projects (as for ATMR), and that this time the market day will be a success for all concerned.
