• A large pack of Ivomec drench was stolen from a Makakahi Valley property between 17 and 27 November. Police would like any information people may have to do with this theft. • Thieves attempted to break into Jean City in Ohakune overnight 1 December. They cut telephone lines and punched a hole through a wall, but failed to gain entry. • An Army bus was tampered with on the same night, thieves attempting to break into the luggage compartment. • An Avanti 10-speed bike was stolen from a Goldfinch St address between 22 and 1 December. • On 2 December police executed a search warrant in Raetihi. As a result one man will face charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and another Raetihi man will face trespass charges, relating to an earlier incident when the man re-entered Ruapehu Hotel after being barred. • Police recovered a stolen Ford Cortina on 2 December, in the Makakahi Valley, after a short pursuit. The driver now faces numerous criminal and driving charges. • An Ohakune man was arrested on 4 December for breach of his High Court bail conditions. He appeared in court in Wanganui yesterday. • A Mitsubishi ute was interfered with in Duncan Street Raetihi on 4 December, and some petrol stolen. • On 5 December a Stihl chainsaw and axe were reported stolen from a farm property in Kainui Road, Ngamatea. Police enquiries are continuing.
