Wednesday 9 June was a mixed partners night at Bridge and by the closeness of the scores it would appear that most pairs were well matched. Eight points separated the first three pairs in the North-South direction and nine points separated the first three pairs in the East-West direction. Bill TeKaru and Lauretta Eades scored 56.95 percent to win North-South, while close behind on 54.40 percent were Doug Bennett and Sarah Hamlin. First place in the East-West direction went to Ron Frew and Judith Hollyer with 52.15 percent, while second place with 51.45 percent went to Betty Hammond and Jenny Mottram.
