Council tours
Tours of wards by Ruapehu District Council members and staff should be scheduled to better suit the workload of staff, the council heard at their last meeting. Mayor Garrick Workman said the tours were worthwhile but that they should be arranged within an agreed timetable, preferably when staff are not committed to specific activities such as the annual plan. General manager Cliff Houston said there was a lot of time taken up by the tours.
