Waiouru signs needed

By

Jan

Savell

"There is a need to put Waiouru on the map as an identity," said Peter Pitts, chairman of the Waiouru Community Board, speaking at their recent meeting. "There is no Welcome to Waiouru' sign or other information. We want people to plan on stopping in Waiouru." He was speaking in support of the Community Board's plan to initiate a local businessman's association in Waiouru. In the New Year the Community Board will hold a public meeting to ascertain community support for the proposal.
