Sports flood

BY DAVID OFTHERIC If you have missed the Raetihi sports results in the last few weeks, blame the rain - we've been flooded! The tennis courts and the hockey field have been an inch-deep puddle for nearly a month or more, causing closure of the grounds and cancellation of events. Even the rugby fields have suffered, or, more to the point, the players on them, being seriously muddy and with little chance to dry out between games. However, with the

spring approaching and the end of the season, the damage from the rain should repair shortly.
