Thanks Turoa seasonal staff

• I was one of the many drivers who was caught up in the down traffic of the Mountain Road on Saturday night, due to heavy snow-falls and icy conditions, on that part of the road. It was very noticeable that many of the drivers were showing signs of nervousness, especially down through Rimu Hill, it was also auite dark at

the time. A lot of these vehicles would pot have been able to make it if it wasn't for the help of the Turoa seasonal workers as well as both ski patrol and ski instructors who all got in to help those who were experiencing difficulties. If the conditions hadn't been so treacherous the Turoa workers would have been well off the mountain long before the last vehicle got down to town. As a public transport driver for the past four years, these are the worst conditions I have ever experienced. Credit has got to go to the Turoa seasonal staff. After two hours of stopping and starting I finally got to the Junction.
